We'll be taking pre-orders for Kingdoms of Novitas t-shirts at the Feast.

Preproduction and lore requests are due ASAP. You're already too late to get XP credit for a post event letter (PEL), but you can still write a something brief to help your GMs prepare plots.

Please plan to archive a copy of your character sheet at sign-in in December, even if you aren't leveling, so Logistics will have a copy for data collection (as a bonus, it'll be okay if you lose yours over the two and a half month downtime).

We hope to have new Kingdoms of Novitas t-shirts available at the Feb Feast.

This weekend, October 14-16, is Clash of Kings, a Dagorhir event put together at our site by some of our players.

We are looking for our players to put together short stories that make use of or illustrate our game mechanics. We will reward good efforts with XP.

In the meantime, have you considered writing a PEL?

All attendees get 1XP just for showing up. Full sign-in is optional – you can choose to come for free – but full sign-in means that if you attend and pay us $25, we record 4 XP and an IOU for an extra month’s worth of production skills. Players level and receive their consumables, item numbers, and/or coin in September. Please note that since you can’t level until September, you can’t use any skills that aren’t currently on your character sheet over the downtime. (Note: This option is only available for those in attendance at the fighter practice. KON always takes cash donations and rewards XP in return, but the only time we do extra production is at these practices.)

Garb is optional, but you must bring your own weapons. Don’t bring your best or most expensive weapons to fight with at these practices. One FP = a year’s worth of abuse at game.

In older news, since I’m pointing out promotions, congratulations to Katie (Rosalia) on becoming Rules Second, and Zach (Octavius) on becoming Operations Second. They’ve been serving us well this spring and made a great addition to the Marshal staff!

The next regular game event is June 3-5, 2011.

The 2011 Kingdoms of Novitas February Feast will be held on Saturday, February 12th at Vanderkamp. There will be a single 5-hour game shift, to run from noon to 5 PM, followed by dinner, a fundraiser auction, a short State of the Game address, and partying. Preregister now – space is limited, first come first served.

Novitas will be hosting a fighter practice at SUNY Albany on Saturday, March 12, 2011.
