Q: Two players have Aura of Reflection active. Player A casts a tag-bag ranged spell at Player B. What is the result?

A: Player B calls 'Reflect'. Player A calls 'No Effect'. Both players lose a charge on their Aura of Reflection spell.

Q: A player has Anti-Magic Shield active and is wearing a Grounding Wire. They are hit for '4 Magic' via a Magic Swarm spell. Which defense is expended?
A: Since both abilities are equivalent in level, the Grounding Wire would be expended first as it is more specific to the situation (Anti-Magic Shield remains on the player).

Q: A player has Anti-Magic Shield, Aura of Reflection, and is wearing a Grounding wire. They are hit for '4 Magic' vis a Magic Swarm spell. What happens?
A: The player calls 'Reflect' to the spell. This follows the rule of thumb that any higher level defense will take effect before a lower level defense is used.

Q: A player has both Mind Blank and Aura of Reflection active. They are hit with a Dominate spell. Do they lose a charge from the Aura of Reflection?
A: No. The Mind Blank spell is more specific to the situation and, since Aura of Reflection is the same level, the Mind Blank takes precedence and allows the player to call 'No Effect'.

Q: Player A is wearing a Cloak of Nature Immunity. Player B has Poison Immunity, Aura of Reflection, and Improved Magic Armor. Player B casts Synchronize on Player A. What happens?
A: Player A receives all of Player B's Aegis Spells EXCEPT Poison Immunity. This is because a player cannot have more than one immunity active at any time.

Q: Player A is wearing a Cloak of Nature Immunity. They remove their cloak and hand it to Player B. Does Player B now have Nature Immunity?
A: No. In the special case of non-disruptable immunity effects (like the Nature Immunity crafted augmentation), the effect is deactivated once the item is removed. It cannot reactivate until the start of the next game day.

Q: A player has a Cloak of Nature Immunity laying in the cabin. Convergence is called, yet they are not wearing the cloak. The player then puts on the cloak. Does that player now have Nature Immunity?
A: Yes. Putting on the item does not change the fact that it was made active (refreshed) during convergence. However, if Player A has an immunity active at the time of putting on the cloak, they do not receive the Nature Immunity benefit. Removal of the item would then deactivate the cloak.

Q: A player finishes the incant to cast Dissipate just before a sword lands a hit on them. They are struck by the damaging attack and then raises the blue flag to signify they are 'dissipated'. Is the spell successfully cast?
A: No. The spell was interrupted by the hit. Dissipate is not active until a blue flag is raised above the caster's head.

Q: While a player has Poison Immunity active, they begin to incant a spell. Before the incant is finished, a creature hits the player with a Hand of Death (2 Poison Pierce). What happens?
A: The player calls 'No Effect' to the damage, but their spell is still interrupted. Whenever an attack, ability, or spell connects with a target, it can interrupt spellcasting even if the subject is immune to the effects.

Q: A shield-carrier has Poison Immunity active. They are struck in the shield by a Vial of Acid (which Poison Immunity is capable of resisting). Is their shield protected by Poison Immunity?

A: No. Spells cast on a player do not carry over to their shield. In this case, the shield would be destroyed. Any additional vials of acid hitting the player would result in a 'No Effect' call.

Q: Player A has Abomination, Shadowskin, and Magic Armor active. Player A then casts Anti-Magic Aura. Are the existing spells on Player A removed?
A: No. Under the current rules, Anti-Magic Aura grants you immunity to spells cast after it goes into effect. Existing beneficial spells on the player are not affected.

Q: Player A has Mind Blank active. Player A then casts Anti-Magic Aura. What happens?

A: Anti-Magic Aura becomes active for 1 minute and Mind Blank remains on the player. If Anti-Magic Aura were an immunity, it would fail and the power would still be spent. However, Anti-Magic Aura is NOT considered an 'immunity' for the purposes of the one-immunity-limit rule.

Q: A player has Anti-Magic Aura active. They are hit with a Dispel Magic spell. What is the result?
A: The player calls 'No Effect' to the Dispel Magic. If a spell is of the same or higher level as a conflicting spell and is capable of resisting the effect, it will do so.

Q: A player has Aura of Reflection active. They are hit with a Dispel Magic spell. What is the result?
A: The player calls 'Reflect' to the Dispel Magic and loses a charge on their Aura of Reflection spell. If a spell is of the same or higher level as a conflicting spell and is capable of resisting the effect, it will do so.

Q: A player has Anti-Magic Shield active. They are hit with a Dispel Magic spell. What is the result?

A: All active spells on the player are dispelled and any magical items they carry are suppressed for 10 minutes. Even though Anti-Magic Shield resists magic spells, the Dispel Magic effect is higher level and takes effect before the Anti-Magic Shield can resist it.

Q: A player with Shadowskin active gets hit with a Silver Arrow. Do they take the damage?
A: No. Shadowskin protects against all physical weapon damage (arrows, swords, throwing knives, etc) except from Primal and Elven Steel sources.

Q: A player with Shadowskin active gets hit with a Two-Step Venom. Do they take damage?
A: Yes. Even though Shadowskin protects vs. Poison, the player suffers the full '4 Poison Pierce' since the alchemical compound is not considered 'physical weapon damage'.

Q: A player with Shadowskin active gets hit with '4 Magic Slay Strike' channeled through a Mage Blade. Do they take damage?
A: Yes. Even though the damage is delivered through a weapon, the damage source contains the 'Strike' descriptor which treats the damage as though it came from a tag-bag.

Q: My group member has cast Sanctuary (20 ft bubble of protection) which encompasses our entire group. Can I shoot arrows at the approaching orcs in the distance?

A: No. Only magical darts (any tag-bag spell) can pass through the barrier of a Sanctuary.

Q: My group member has cast Sanctuary (20 ft bubble of protection) which encompasses our entire group. I have a weapon which can channel Magic Swarm. Can I hit a monster through the barrier for '4 Magic Strike'?

A: No. Even though Magic Swarm is a magical dart spell, it is being channeled through melee and must first connect with your target (weapons cannot pierce the Sanctuary barrier). You can, however, willingly leave a Sanctuary (but not re-enter). Thus, if you argue that your strike hits your target, you are claiming that you are outside the radius of the spell and therefore a valid target for monsters.

Q: My group member has cast Sanctuary (20 ft bubble of protection) just before a horde of orcs rain attacks down on us. What happens?
A: The sanctuary has a diameter of 20 feet (10 ft radius from its center point). If enemies happen to be within that area at the time it was cast, they are fully capable of dealing damage. Your group is vulnerable to the attack, in this case.

Q: Someone casts Banish on me while I have Aura of Reflection active. I call 'Reflect'. Will I know where they'll reappear?

A: Yes. The original caster is, in this case, the person banished. A 'reflect' call effectively swaps the caster and the target for the purposes of resolving the spell. Therefore, it is treated as though the person who called 'reflect' is the new caster of that spell.

Q: Can an Archon see through Banish similar to their ability to see through Dissipate?

A: Yes. In fact, if an Archon hits that banished person with a spell of Grounding or Dispel Magic, that will remove the effects of Banish from the target.

Q: I'm wearing 3-point monstrous lorica plate armor with a 3-point chain hauberk underneath. What happens if I get hit in the chain on my legs or lower arms?

A: You take the damage to your armor, but it does not count as monstrous. Also, dual armor values don't stack. If your armor is depleted from being hit in the hauberk, your plate armor is part of that same armor pool and is also depleted.
