October Event: Freelands and Harvest FestivalOctober 2nd, 2013, 10:20 pm
TO THE FREE PEOPLES OF EVERY VILLAGE OF THE FORMER FREELANDS:
A Notice of General Import, from the Crimson Couriers.
The members of all Known Nations have made their intentions clear to the Crimson Couriers that the territory called the Former Freelands is to become the Freelands once again. The involvement, power, and authority of the Known Nations will be withdrawn from the Freelands, and the borders that existed before the Dissolution of Ghage’s Treaty will be remade anew. A new treaty is being drafted and will be signed in the exact middle of the Freelands—Pinedale.
The signing of this new treaty, called the Treaty of Pinedale, will require many signatures of witness, and any resident of the Freelands that wishes to be a witness to history is encouraged to sign. There is no cost to becoming a witness, and there is no contractual requirement. There will be multiple signings, the first on the eve of this Friday, and continuing through the weekend. If this is your intent, find your local Crimson Courier and let them know you are interested in becoming a witness to the Treaty of Pinedale.
This has been a Notice of General Import, from the Crimson Couriers.
=====
The month of October is upon us and with it a grand many things have changed. The Evanandrans and other nations have loosened their hold on the Freelands. Caravans of Terrans, Elves, Snow Goblins and Humans have been seen evacuating to their respective nations.
Rumors circulate that The Great Builder has been sealed away in the Lake of Nalbendel and that the Piscean's Eldest One has been returned to them. Others whisper about another powerful Dark Fae by the name of He Who Is He who has also been sealed away forever. There are even stories that there will be a new Treaty of Ghage signing! Regardless, all of these things have come to a close just in time for Pinedale's largest celebration… Harvest Festival!
The Harvest Festival begins Saturday morning and with it all matter of contests and competition. Strong with a blade? Try your hand at the Fighter's Tournament or the Bear Pit. Think you've got a keener mind than everyone else? Then, Vleanoan No Hold'em is your game. Perhaps you've got an eagle eye? You could always take your bow to the Ranged Weapons contest. Maybe, you're just hungry and want to hear a tale? There will be plenty of stories, including a telling of the history of Novitas.
No matter what you're looking for, you'll find it at the Harvest Festival!
