How long have you been playing?: April 2017 will mark four years since I joined Kingdoms of Novitas.
Describe your character: My character is an Earthkin named Beryl Finderkeep, the Child of Greed. She started off as a drifter that rolled into Pinedale because Adventurers are always leaving their things on the ground. I spent my first year finding lost items and either keeping them or reselling them for a small profit. She is now a partner in the Owl and Ore General store, which operates by the ingenuity of several of our game's promising merchant folk. She is still an avid collector of lost items, but has her hand in much larger pots.
What was your favorite in game moment?: My favorite in game moment would probably my character's engagement/marriage. It came completely out of the blue and their antics continue to be a driving force in Beryl's character development. Her partner is an elf, and it has made for some interesting situations. Every part of the arc has been ridiculously non-tradtional and unique right down to our rushed nuptials. I hope the Frayrim-Finderkeeps are very happy for a long time to come.
Why do you love Kingdoms of Novitas?: What I love about Novitas is the community. Some of the people I first met four years ago are some of my best friends. It was a place to belong and be noticed when I needed it the most.
Who is your favorite PC?: At the moment my favorite character is Amy Dilallo's Zariel, a white faekin elf that is going to have Beryl's babies. I also really like watching the Rhinos running off to save the day.
What did you think your character concept was? What is it now?: I wasn't sure what I really wanted to play when I first started Novitas. I actually NPC'd a full two games before bringing in a 'throw away bag lady' character that is the Beryl Finderkeep I know and love today. Now the concept is seeing how much Beryl can push the limits.
How many PCs have you had? What happened to them?: I've only had the one character for the last almost four years, and unless something drastic happens I don't foresee myself bringing in a new one anytime soon.
